Fresh, friendly and delicious Amazing find off the main street in Nassau! Saw the spot walking by and stopped in and so glad we did. Greeted by very friendly staff and helpful waiter. We ordered some drinks, including the flight of cocktails which I highly recommend! The waiter helped the kids pick out Bahamian sodas as well. We ordered an array of items, the seafood platter (delicious), fried shrimp, grouper fingers, conch fritters and Mac and cheese. All was SO fresh and delicious! The conch fritters and shrimp were my favs, but the seafood platter earned rave reviews from the kids. Has such a great meal and cocktails, I highly recommend and will def return when in area!

Phenomenal, fresh and delish! This spot was PHENOMENAL. Amazing service, clean... but the most important factor to this rating? The most well-seasoned, perfectly "done" fresh fish dishes. Everything we ordered was delicious!

Yum! So tasty! Definitely get some fried fish, conc salad, and mac and cheese here. Our server was also so nice and attentive.

A taste of the Bahamas! Excellent. We had the sampler which consisted of conch chowder, conch fritters, fried conch and conch salad and the native beer. The food was fresh, the restaurant was clean, and the workers were friendly. If you want a taste of the Bahamas, this is the place!

Great Steamed chicken and plantains! This place is takeout for breakfast and casual for lunch or dinner. 10/10 Bahamian food with the steamed chicken and plantains! It was awesome and is part of the BEST walking and food tour.

Underwhelming experience, average food, bland interior, seems to be geared at serving tour groups fast. Underwhelming experience: the food was average, the service so-so, the interior the opposite of charming (grey walls, hardly any decoration). From the outside, you can’t even tell that there is seating inside - it looks like another business, not a restaurant. The outside tables were all marked as reserved but during our time there only one table for two was used. Meanwhile, after we ordered a tour group sat down next to us, was served the daily special and drinks and finished their meals by the time we got our food. They were in and out in 20 min, during which time the tour guide incessantly talked.
The portions were small and the food nothing special.
Wouldn’t recommend. Also the map shows the wrong location. It’s on Parliament Street close to the library.

Hidden gem Excellent local cuisine. Very friendly service. Closes at 5pm, so it was a very early dinner. We had conch fritters, conch salad and conch chowder. Everything was good. We ordered the smaller portion options so we had room for guava duff dessert. Would definitely return.

Very disappointed We saw the recommendations and reviews and were very excited to visit this restaurant. I was especially excited to have my family try conch as they had never had this before. We under stand that when you're in a different country that time tables are different and there's patience and things are made from scratch, but this was a bit beyond. We waited over an hour for food. They completely forgot our appetizers which were the conch options so nobody got to try to conch. The food was good but portion size is very small. Service was poor. We did not see our server for extended periods of time while we were there.

Conch Fritters We did not dine in. we ordered conch fritters to go. The food was prepared quickly and the fritters were fluffy, hot and tasty. The price was also reasonable. The front person was friendly. Next time in Nassau, if we have more time we will dine in.

Good food frequented by locals Great simple island cuisine. Everything was fresh, flavorful and classic traditional Bahamian food. An unassuming place in an urban block. Most of the customers were locals who clearly knew the place.

Great Food Great Service Great Price The food is soo good! The service is delightful. Mrs Burrows was the best! She made wonderful drink and food recommendations. We will definitely be back when we return to Nassau. Thank you for enhancing our vacation. Also it should be noted that the restaurant is a very short walk from the port.

Great Food at Bahamian Restaurant Across from Parliament Great food at local Bahamian restaurant across from Parliament. We really enjoyed dining at the this local Bahamian restaurant. The food was fantastic and appropriate portion sizes. The restaurant offered several bar options and the staff were very accommodating. However, the Christmas options from bar took longer than expected.

A cool spot for a quick pick me up Cardinya M was a fantastic server, she welcomed us and took our order promptly, we had conch fritters and Kalib beer, which both hit the spot. The a/c was on and provided a nice relief from the outside humidity.
Bahamian cooking is now on our list every time we stop in Nassau.

Phenomenal food! You're missing out if you don't try the food here, especially the fish! The grouper was so fresh and so tender that it just melts in your mouth! If I ever come back to the Bahamas, I'm visiting again for sure!

When in Nassau…you must eat here! Oh. My. Goodness! The food was fabulous and the wait staff, wonderful! We had the Seafood Platter, the guava cake with rum sauce and a Bahama Mama. Too good to be true! Our new friend Ellie (who worked at Blue Lagoon) recommended the restaurant and we are SO glad he did!

Great Food, Lousy Service The food is fantastic, but the service was abysmal. My husband ordered a beer and I ordered a glass of water. He got his beer in 3 minutes. I waited almost 20 minutes before I received my water., and they brought my husband one too. We ordered the conch chowder and a bbq rib dinner. After 35 minutes I still had not received the bowl of chowder. This should already be made and ready to put in a bowl. I had to accost a waitress and tell her that if I didn't have my food in the next 3 minutes we had to cancel the order as we had another activity to attend. Finally 40 minutes after we got there we had our food both the soup and the meal. My water was never refilled, and the waitress could have cared less if we were having a good experience. I asked three times for my water before I received it. No one seemed to give a crap about bringing food to the tables in a timely manner. They clearly need more help in the kitchen. As soon as we had the food, we asked for the check to make sure we could leave on time. My husband was more generous than I would have been with the tip, as I have never had such poor service in a restaurant in my life.

Long wait but fool was just ok We were seated immediately. Took a while for waiter to take drink and food order. I had to inquire about 15 mins later when we still hadn't received drinks. Finally got food about 45 minutes later. Resturant was initially full of customers but eventually was pretty empty. Food was hot and ok. Rice and peas was warm and clearly not fresh. We paid a reasonable price for lunch compared to other restaurants in the area. The resturant was clean and the staff was polite. The Mac n chez did make my husband sick.

Great Lunch in Port Stopped here for lunch while in port on our cruise and it was fantastic! Our party of six was split into 2 tables, but we were seated pretty quickly. Everyone liked the shared conch fritters along with all their entrees … especially the grouper fingers. The conch chowder was just ok for me … but I really wish I ordered the large conch salad instead of the small, as it was so tasty. Oh … did I mention the great drinks too.

Should note that they were pretty busy and crowded for the entire time … including a couple of large tour groups that came and sat at the large table/section in the back. Despite that … we still had good, friendly service and food came out in a fair amount of time. Can’t wait to come back again on our next cruise!!

Be Careful I would love to give this restaurant a good review, because the food was great, but they stole my credit card information and tried to make thousands of dollars of charges on my card. This was the only restaurant where they took the card away form the table, so there is not a question this happened here. Be careful.

LONGGGG WAIT I was disappointed as I checked our many reviews before I decided to visit this restaurant. We ordered 3 dishes, but took them 3 hours to bring them. First dish - Conch fritter. Took them over 45mins to bring it. It was only ok. Another 45mins, 2nd dish came, cracked conch combo, taste was ok. Then we waited and waited. Asked the waiter to check on our last order. Finally 3rd dish came - conch salad. We liked conch salad the best. With such long wait time, we lost our appetite....We also have to wait for our check for a while, then lost patient and walked in to pay for the meal. While we were eating, there were 2 other tables and one take out customer. One table waited about the same time and got their drinks and one dish. They lost patient and cancelled the rest of the order. Same thing happened to the 2nd table. They cancelled their order and left. The take out customer also complained and said he waited almost an hour for his order. He asked for refund and left.
